Fishing In Deep Waters! ♡♡♡

"When he had finished  speaking, he said  to Simon, "Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch." Simon answered, "Master, we've worked hard all night and haven't caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets". When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that thier nets began to break" - Luke 5: 4-6

Some amazing things I love about my walking with God ------>  His incredible ability to birth beautiful things out the ugly. Create glorious things out of nothing and raise dead things to life. God is incredibly great at making all things work together for our good, although sometimes we can't even see it. Simon and his fishing crew, were done done washing thier nets. They had left thier boats at the water's edge. [Luke 5:2] I mean, probably would have done same too, giving thier circumstances. You'd think they had parked down thier boats, chilling from a fruitful day. Nope! - More like, left it parked down, because nothing seemed to be happening. I mean why bother? - Dude, we've toiled all night and caught nothing. Not even a single fish yapped at us.

Scripture tells us that Jesus stood at the Lake of Gennesaret. The crowd gathered around him, listening to the word of God. He jumped into Simon Peter's boat and asked him to put out a little from the shore. Then He sat down and taught from the boat [Luke 5: 3]. After He had finished speaking, He then asked Simon - "Put down into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch." [Luke 5:4] - Huh are you being serious right now, sweet son of God? - I love how diplomatic Simon is - "Master, we've toiled all night and haven't caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets". He let Jesus know the real deal. Err bruh, we've toiled, we've tried, we've done everything we can by the book and what's even worse, it's been all night. Thankfully Jesus is not intimidated by "let downs" "failures" and "setbacks". Peter obeys, never minding his disappointments. In the end, they come away with a netbreaking catch. What awesome difference it makes, because Jesus sits in Simon's boat.

"Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch. [Luke 5:4]

I did wonder though if Simon and his crew had been fishing in shallow waters. On a second thought, these guys fished for a living. I mean they'd be experts right?  Well, even experts soon find out that they too can hit dead ends. Nobody is above the difficulties and trials of life, but Jesus can make a difference with how things turn out. Our life experiences no matter what they look like, can be our deep waters. Jesus can meet us right in the middle of it. He helps us realize depths and heights of Him, we've never experienced before, through what seems like super difficult and deep situations. In shallow waters, there's only a limit to what we can experience, but in deep waters, though we may not see where we are casting our nets, but there is so much more out on shore to experience, especially if the master is right in your boat.

Toiled all night? experienced back to back disappointments? tried and tried again no result? failed? Be like Simon.  ------> "Nevertheless at the masters word, launch out into the deep". Dear friends, know that whatever your deep is, Jesus is deeper still. ♡♡

"To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a  joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair . In thier righteousness , they will be like great oaks that the LORD has planted for his own glory" - Isaiah 61:3

Don't give up, Trust God Still!
