Marvelously Breathtaking ♡♡♡

 

"You formed my innermost being, shaping my delicate inside and my intricate outside, and wove them all together in my mother's womb. I thank you, God, for making me so mysteriously complex! Everything you do is marvelously breathtaking. It simply amazes me to think about it! How thoroughly you know me Lord" - Psalm 139:13-14

The other day I had dressed up to go to church. I wasn't so sure about what I was wearing. It was a little out of my comfort zone. So I asked hubby what he thought? He affirmed me and said it was beautiful. I was still so unsure, and asked a couple more times: are you sure? are you really sure? lol. Hubby is like "are you joking? you look amazing, honestly it's really good". So because I didn't want to risk going out there looking like some "weirdo", I checked in with hubby a few more times. Still a little unsure, I went out in the outfit all the same. I didn't want to waste any more time changing into something else. --------> "Well, if hubby says it is good, then should it really matter what anyone else thinks?". So every time this insecure thought flashed through my mind, I reminded myself that it was good because the closest person to me says it is. In many ways, my little story reminds me of God and his thoughts about you and I. How secure are we in the beautiful words God speaks concerning us? Are we secure and confident in it? We should be.

"I will greatly rejoice in the Lord; my soul shall be joyful in my God. For He hath clothed me with the garments of salvation; He hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments , and as a bride adornneth with her jewels" - Isaiah 61;10

The truth is, you may not always have people in your life affirm you all the time. People who were supposedly here by your side could be gone the next, back again and gone the next. Some may say amazing things about you now only to change their mind the next, but God's word concerning you and I are always ever true. God says what he means and means what he says. So in his word really, is where we should be investing most of our time and all of our time. There are days that you may not feel so great, days you may be unsure. You may not also have "your regulars" right by your side, but you can look into the perfect law of liberty that is able to save your soul. There is no better person to run to when we are unsure. It may feel sloppy at first as you begin to read those words, but as you meditate on it, a rush of joy will come and a sense of peace will follow, as you rest in God's absolute truth. When you have digested it, be sure never to allow the thoughts of the world, steal what the Lord has spoken concerning you in the secret place :)

We receive all of God's truth for our lives, we will be diligent to learn of it and to then engage our world in the security, that makes a man show up before Kings in confidence. Amen
