Happy Thanksgiving ~ [GREAT LIGHT] ♡♡♡
"The people dwelling in darkness have seen a great light, and for those dwelling in the region and shadow of death, on them a light has dawned" - Matthew 4:16 ESV
They say "..when in Rome, you live like the romans". Tis thanksgiving season up here in Canada. I find it somewhat cute that a day or so would be set apart for thanksgiving. And rightly so, because we can take a lot of things for granted. Plus, it is wise to make the most of every opportunity.
My share this Sunday is very simple. There are so many things to be grateful for in my life [oh yes], but what I am most grateful for always is the gift of Jesus and the light he brings into my life. I don't have a perfect life [surprise? lol] but God has been "perfect" in every sense to me. Darkness is not something I haven't experienced or seen in certain areas of my life, but oh what illumination, what great light Jesus brings in all of what appears very dark. I marvel, because honestly there are no words to explain or describe what happens when a man or woman is overwhelmed with the glorious light and presence of Jesus.
And so I want to encourage you in the Spirit of thanksgiving, that there is one who illuminates, who brightens, who carries the light of life. He embodies wholeness and gives vision. In him no darkness dwells at all. He is the lily of the valley. He is the bright and morning star. Scripture says that when Jesus was born, a star arose. People came from all places to worship him. Wow!!!! - May we never lose our wonder. May we understand fully and deeply, that everything we need is in Christ. That, the light we seek dwells in Him.
Happy thanksgiving from me to you and all yours. This might seem like just another celebration we have in our world, but I pray for you from the joy my heart is experiencing as I write this, that every dark place in your life is met with the awesome brightness of our Lord Jesus Christ. In the way that it was said in Matthew 4:16 --- "the people dwelling in darkness have seen a great light, and for those dwelling in the region and shadow of death, on them a light has dawned". May this be your portion in the mighty name of Jesus. May this be "revolutional" truth for you. And if you are feeling down in your faith and at a place you are tired, I pray over you that light will find you. Jesus will dawn over you. Joy will overtake you. Amen
"O give thanks to the Lord for He is good and His mercy endureth forever" - Psalm 136:1
It's always love from me
